Everyone knows how I typically feel about celebrity lines – I usually find them a shameless self-promotion with no heed paid towards fabrication or design. But hey, there’s always an acception.
And who better to forgive than our beloved NSYNC* star Justin Timberlake. Blame it on nostalgia or oversight, but I spent a good 30 minutes perusing the official William Rast website and Youtube, gathering information on the increasingly popular apparel line. Named after the friendship of their grandparents, Justin Timberlake and fellow childhood Memphis buddy Trace Ayala started the line in 2007, seeing it to success through heavy support from young Hollywood.
What differentiates this brand? It’s how vivid and strangely, culturally-infused it is. Casting a homely Tennessee theme to a modernist brand, William Rast is a genuine offering of intricate and original pieces. Believe me not? Just watch their showing at Fashion Week. Amidst the windmills and worming, the tranny-esque dancer girls, and the random dance scenes, lies a surprisingly likeable clothing line.

I love the name too. William Rast sounds like some guys i knew back in georgia, but without the style. I am definitely going to pick something up by them. Hautelook.com is having a sale on this line tomorrow. They have great deals, up to 75% off.
