WMCFW S/S 2013 – Day 4
Well, well, well, here we go again with closing off our fashion week adventures. Day 4 was rammed with shows – we enjoyed Soia + Kyo (LOVE THEM), Rudsak, Vawk, and The Heart Truth Show. Each show carried so many different looks, styles, situational items, and energies. More after the jump.
SOIA + KYO
As always, a wonder to watch down the runway (I feel like I’m going shopping). A huge variety of combination jackets, lots of puffer, with a palette of grey, black, and burgundy (wine coloured jackets, hmm, something I haven’t yet jumped on). I adore the ADELLE I literally picked up yesterday from Blossom Lounge (die, you can order custom ones from the lovely Shauna of Blossom), and have been obsessed and eagerly awaiting for the next wave of S+K to come in (oh, might be waiting awhile). Always a pleasure to watch Ilan Elfassy do his thing.
Smouldering looks always – not that I advocate for such heavy usage of Fur (after watching a horrifying fur video by Peta….I’m pretty turned off) in hats and jackets, they always have such a fantastic array of bags, jackets, and accessories. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt to open the dialogue with great little cardholders that enclose discount cards and a USB key. I’m halfway sold. I shop there on occasion and enjoy simple accessories, though the locations are feeling scarce.
Is it spring? Florals, gem greens, and flowy cut outs stomped the runway. It was a gorgeous styling of hard vs. romantic, and everything you could dream of. Sunny Fong’s designs are beautiful, elegant, approachable, luxury.
Keyword: FUN. This was the show in support of the Heart and Stroke foundation, an always amazing cause. Strikingly successful ladies and celebs clad in red trotted along the runway to showcase some snazzy little wares. Some faves below.
